SCORES OF NORTH KOREANS ARE FILING PAST THE BODY OF THEIR LATE PRESIDENT, KIM JONG IL.
AND AS THE WORLD HAS SEEN SINCE KIM'S DEATH WAS ANNOUNCED ON MONDAY, MANY ARE OPENLY DISPLAYING THEIR GRIEF.
[Notes:===NAT SOUND PAUSE===]
FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS ARE KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON NORTH KOREA, WHERE KIM'S SON, KIM JONG UN, IS THE HEIR APPARENT.
THE YOUNGER KIM IS BELIEVED TO BE IN HIS LATE 20'S, WHILE THE COUNTRY HAS A NUCLEAR PROGRAM AND A HISTORY OF DEEP ANIMOSITY TOWARD ITS NEIGHBORS.
HOWEVER, THE PENTAGON SAYS THE TRANSITION APPEARS TO BE RELATIVELY SMOOTH.
BOTH THE PENTAGON AND SOUTH KOREA POINTED OUT THAT THERE HAVE BEEN NO UNUSUAL NORTH KOREAN TROOP MOVEMENTS.
NORTH KOREA'S GOVERNMENT, MEANWHILE, CONTINUES TO BUILD THE LATE KIM JONG IL'S LEGEND.
IT CLAIMS THAT KIM'S DEATH TRIGGERED SPECTACULAR NATURAL PHENOMENA, INCLUDING A MYSTERIOUS GLOW ON TOP OF A REVERED MOUNTAIN.
