Limone Sul Garda, situated in the province of Brescia, Italy, is the birthplace of St. Daniel Comboni, the founder and father of the Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus (MCCJ) and of the Comboni Missionary Sisters (CMS), the Lay Comboni Missionaries (LCM) and the Secular Combonis (SC).
ISt. Daniel Comboni was born in this place in March 15, 1831. He was the only child - out of eight siblings - born of Domenica Pace and Luigi Comboni who survived into adulthood.
Limone Sul Garda is a peaceful, tranquil and scenic place for respite, reflection and contemplation all through out the year. The community of the Comboni Missionaries residing here welcomes groups and tourists alike. They offer conferences for individuals and groups. There is a museum that display the relics of St. Daniel Comboni and some archeological artefacts related to our founder and his life, works and mission.
