This racing game is a doujin title from Japan, and even though it's an indie game it's an official, licensed game based on the Future GPX Cyber Formula anime series by Sunrise. The game is developed by Project YNP who has been making these games since 2003, this is the latest iteration and was released December 31, 2012 at Comiket 83.

It is extremely polished and well-made game and it's definitely an arcade-style racer. Like in the anime some vehicles have the capability to transform into a faster form. In game this translates to increased acceleration and top speed while severely cutting down on maneuverability. Every car also has a limited amount of Boosts to use each race. There's also online multiplayer and replay savings, making the package feel really complete and professional. I recommend everybody who likes arcade-style racing games to give this a go. Best of all, even though it's a Japanese title the game is almost completely in English, making it easy for importers to pick up.
