The 88 is the first of three electric locomotives to arrive in the UK by train manufacturer Stadler, most notably soon to be joined by the Class 93 and 99. The 93 has arrived to ROG several months ago, but it's fate (workings) have yet to be made clear, 93001, seen below, on its way to Crewe a few months ago:

The 99 is probably the most significant of the three in that 30 examples have been ordered by major player GBRf and they are due to be delivered next year.
