Dr. Ferencik will review the research data on coronary atherosclerotic plaque's detection, characterization, and quantification by computed tomography. He summarizes the opportunities for the improved care of patients with cardiovascvular disease using coronary plaque detection.

Objectives:

1. Critically assess the ability computed tomography for the detection, characterization, and quantification of coronary atherosclerotic plaque.
2. Become familiar with prognostic data on the predictive value of coronary CTA plaque detection in acute and chronic CAD.
3. Review the application of quantitative coronary plaque assessment in clinical practice.
