The SNP's Michelle Thomson laid into the UK government and Boris Johnson: "If the past few days have taught us anything, it is that the price of dependence on the failing UK state and leaders such as Boris Johnson makes the need for Scottish independence all the more urgent."
Ms Thomson also mentioned the Prime Ministers law breaking: "The egregious law breaking of Boris Johnson really matters, because it not only displays a disregard for our society but almost permeates into the economy."
Earlier this week Liz Smith, the Tories’ finance spokeswoman, led a parliamentary debate to scrutinise the Scottish Government’s spending review, which could see tens of thousands of public sector jobs cut.
It follows Ms Forbes’ spending review last week where she admitted “difficult decisions” would need to be taken.
Ultimately though, the Tory motion failed as MSPs voted to 'delete' the Conservative amendment completely by 67 votes to 53, with one abstention.
