A man described as an "avid outdoorsman" is lucky to be alive after going missing in the remote Canadian wilderness for over FIVE WEEKS!
Twenty-year-old Sam Benastick was reported missing on October nineteenth, after he didn't return from a ten-day camping trip in Redfern-Keily Provincial Park.
For reference, that's nearly as far north as Juneau, Alaska, and is notorious for being pretty inhospitable, its rapid temperature swings, and BEARS.
Unsurprisingly, hopes of finding him alive had gotten pretty slim, particularly as those temperature swings had plunged the area to below zero, with six inches of snowfall.
But luck was clearly on his side, as he managed to find his way to a service road where he was FINALLY spotted by local workers on Tuesday!
Benastick was taken to the hospital, where he's being treated for frostbite and some smoke inhalation.
That's quite the story of survival! But what's the scariest situation YOU'VE ever found yourself in? Let us know in the comments, and be sure to follow The Bikini Report for more daily headlines!
