In this short video Matt shows you how to clean the printhead of a Brother MFC-J5335DW. This is essential knowledge for resolving almost any print quality issue with your printer, from missing colours to striped prints, we recommend doing this first. Cleaning in this way does use up black, cyan, magenta and yellow within your installed LC3217/LC3219 ink cartridges, but thankfully your Brother MFC-J5335DW allows you to clean black or colour specifically, as an alternative to a full clean.

These cleans can be performed directly from your Brother MFC-J5335DW and do not require an attached computer/laptop. Although we have used this specific machine, this piece of essential maintenance can also be done on the Brother MFC-J2330DW, MFC-J2730DW, MFC-J5330DW, MFC-J5730DW or MFC-J5930DW printers.
