Ladakh is a Trans-Himalayan region. The first political history of ladakh is known from the Uvima
Kavthisa Kharoshthi Inscription. This inscription was found near the Khaltse bridge over the river indus. It is known from this inscription that the Kushan Dynasty ruled over Ladakh in the first century.
Later ladakh's history is known from the Brahmbhi & Kharoshthi inscription.
Ladakh is the northernmost point in India. It almost never rains here and climate is also Dry & Cold.
Ladakh is not covered with trees like other hills for this Ladakh is called Cold Dessert.
