Since we installed our new Genesys/S-TEC 3100 autopilot, we've received numerous request for more detailed information about this flight control system. In this introductory video, I briefly go over the following: pre-flight checks, takeoff/initial climb, roll/heading/nav modes, IAS/VS climbs/descents, altitude hold, yaw damper function, GPSS and lighting/volume control. I will do a few more dedicated videos featuring VFR flights, IFR flights/approaches, etc in the near future.
*IAS on the 3100 is in knots and my ASI is in mph
