Are you highly intelligent? How should we define intelligence?  Is it in our IQ score, our ability to recite the state capitals in alphabetical order, or does true intelligence go deeper than that? If you've spent enough time around people that aren't authentically intelligent, you know that the latter is true. Intelligence is so much more than storing knowledge and while people may like to impress others with what they've read in books, that doesn't make them highly intelligent. Before long, they will expose themselves and prove an important life lesson. The signs of a genius are diverse but also somewhat predictable. If you’re a person gifted with high intelligence, be sure to compare your experiences with these simple signs. Smart people are more likely to believe they aren't particularly smart, whereas less intelligent people tend to overestimate their competence. That said, there are some genuine signs of intelligence people can't fake, even if they try to fool you! Also, there's more to intelligence than just a high IQ. Emotional intelligence (EQ) is just as important, especially when it comes to empathy.
