Space Marshals 3 - Chapter 2 - Mission 12 Perfect
8 ☆ Mission Restrictions
Outfit: 0 ☆ Farmer's Overalls
Long Gun: 1 ☆ Beamer Locap
Hand Gun: 3 ☆ Knodge Gas-X
Item: 2 ☆ Plasma Grenades
Item: 2 ☆ Personal Relocators
This mission is hard, at first. Similar to other missions, the more you play it the more routine it becomes. Having said that, when I first entered this mission I felt defeated already. Through trial and many errors I figured out how possible it actually is. I have used different guns to finish it with varying degrees of success but two items I feel are necessary for my play style include plasma grenades and personal relocators. In this video I am using those items as well as the Beamer Locap and the Knodge Gas-X. Both fun weapons though I typically prefer a quieter long gun. The Beamer works well for this mission because of its stopping power. I cannot stealth kill this entire mission, I always encounter direct confrontation so the 1 ☆ Beamer allowed me to carry the 3 ☆ Gas-X and the 2 ☆ plasma grenades and 2 ☆ relocators accounting for the 8 ☆ equipment restrictions for the mission. That is why I am wearing the 0 ☆ farmer overalls. The hat is the astronaut helmet you can find in mission 12 in the dark room at the far right of the map before you return to speak to the captives.
**The moments where I appear to be doing nothing I am actually watching the mini map in top right corner to see how the enemy is reacting. Sometimes they may behave differently than before. If I see their beacon disappear, I know they are camouflaged or invisible. When it is solid and I can see them moving normally I can assume they are not alarmed. When they are alarmed they can see further. That is another reason you may see me advance and then pause. Wearing nothing but overalls, I have to be cautious.
I really enjoy the Space Marshals games for a variety of reasons. The story, the characters and their banter are all fun and creative. The missions always great to explore and I don't feel like there is only one way to proceed through any given map. You can take out all of the enemies or sometimes you can just sneak past a lot of them. Then there is the gear. The hats are a nice way to accessorize our hero, the outfits as well though they offer a bit more than just cosmetics. The long guns, hand guns and various thrown items have some really creative and unique properties not always evident at first inspection.
When I unlock new gear I enjoy taking it to older missions to see what fun I can have just being OP. But once I am familiar with missions and am able to run through them with confidence and ease I often like to see what I can do with lesser gear. I imagine mission 12 will never be one of those I can do with all 0 ☆ gear but I might get bored if a few of the missions didn't offer the challenges that they do.
I hope this video helps a few players see one way of going about this mission and I hope everyone gets their perfect run at least once.
