Opening Manchester International Festival 2023, this multi-sensory artwork by Risham Syed filled the newly-formed Mayfield Park with a ritual in which participants took water drawn from the River Soan in Pakistan and poured it into the River Medlock.

Their journey took them through layers of music and sound produced by a 70-speaker surround sound system across the park. As participants made their way through the environment, the structure of the music was shaped by their journey and how they chose to move or linger in any given place.
