Parisian Chinatown or Asian Quarter is located in the 13th arrondissement of the French capital. This is the largest Asian quarter in Europe. At the beginning of the last century, Chinese youth began to come to study at Parisian universities. After graduation, not all of them wanted to return home. Many stayed and founded a small community. In the 70s and 80s they were joined by people from Vietnam and Laos who fled oppressive regimes in their countries.
