This is a video that surfaced showing the Star Flyer accident.
Birmingham city centre Star flyer ride malfunctioned Thursday, December 12, 2024, causing 13 people to crash to the ground and sending at least two people to the hospital. Because of the ride accident is still under investigation, but I wanted to use this video to think about how an accident like this could have happened.
The star flyer is a 180 foot swing tower manufactured by Funtime rides. This was one of the first models that is traveling of this particular ride and has been an operation for a while.
