Today, we talk about three companies whose business is completely different now than what they had initially started out. This wraps up Season 3, The Pivot. Starbucks is one of the most famous companies who pivoted. They went from selling beans and machines to selling already brewed coffee.

Groupon is one of my favorite examples. They shifted their business model and created a huge platform that numerous people use today. They've been able to partner up with local businesses.

Twitter pivoted out of necessity. They were not finding traction, profits were little to nothing, and they were on the verge of shutting down. They really pulled through, turned things around to create one of the most used, household social media platforms of all time. Since Elon Musk took over Twitter, he has now rebranded to X. We'll see if this rebrand successful of not, but either way, it's here.

I am an Indiana native who migrated down to Central Florida. I started my career in Corporate America, but wanted more for myself and my family. I quickly found success in Roofing, specially, Tile Roofs. I moved to Costa Rica for five years and continued my entrepreneurial journey there with Real Estate Development. Those five years taught me the ins and outs of clay tile and have been specializing in Tile for over 35 years! I came back to America and now sit on the board for the Florida Building Code for Roofing. I'm also a member of the Florida's Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association (FRSA).
