Met my brother @justwoodonwheels out in the desert for some skateboarding adventures at Slab City! We camped over night in our rigs and woke up early enough to skate and explore the rest of slab city. The skatepark is a DIY built inside of a Olympic size swimming pool. Wondering why there might be an olympic size swimming pool out in the middle of the desert? Well, "Slab City" used to be called Camp Dunlap, a training grounds for the Marines during WWII up until 1961 when the camp was decommissioned and demolished. All of
the buildings reduced to nothing but concrete SLABS, hence the name. Very interesting place to say the least, go feel it out for yourself!
