문 대통령, 오늘 청와대서 칼둔 아부다비 청장 접견
At the nation's top office, President Moon Jae-in met with a special envoy of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi... to exchange views on ways to continue strengthening relations between Korea and the UAE.

"My chief of staff visited the UAE as a special envoy, and now you (Khaldoon Al Mubarak) are visiting Korea as a special envoy becoming the first guest of 2018. I believe our bilateral relations have been upgraded to another level."

Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak is the chairman of Abu Dhabi's Executive Affairs Authority, and one of the most trusted advisers of the royal family.
According to a spokesperson, Liberal leader said he looks forward to the completion of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, calling it the symbol of the two nation's partnership.
Earlier in the day, the envoy also had lunch with Presidential Chief of Staff Im Jong-seok.
South Korea's main opposition party claimed that Im's trip was meant to salvage bilateral relations, which it says are turning sour.
However, the Presidential office dismissed that speculation.
