Occasionally on my Facebook page, I post these "What lives teaching me lately" posts. Nothing too serious just ramblings of thoughts I've had that I find myself wanting to share in the ether. This video is something like that, for some time now I've felt something in the world feels incredibly synthetic. I haven't been able to quite put my finger on it though, and it isn't the first time I've thought this. Its something that I think often enough to identify as familiar. As if I've felt it many times before.
I noticed that when these moments present themselves there are always been places on earth where the feeling is muffled as if these places can somehow lift the veil of perception and remind me that when it all feels like it is falling apart, sometimes it's a sign that I'm missing something, a connection. Remember looking up at the sky as a kid, being enamored by the sheer wonder of it all? Well, I do and I still feel that when I put myself in the wild places. These places give me a perspective that I often need to be reminded of, this podcast-style episode is an exploration of that and why I think the answer to life's questions might not be a cabin in the woods but it still may very well be in the wild.
