Japan is further tightening its border control measures amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Visitors arriving from any part of the world are now required to self-isolate for two weeks. Tokyo had already widened its travel ban, refusing entry to visitors from more than 70 areas, including hotspots like the US and Britain. More than 2,700 people have been infected in Japan.
