Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), Nov 14 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting of ASHA workers in Vijayawada. A regular meeting, here volunteers were made aware about primary medical aid. In particular, special care on mother and child treatment and aimed at preventing deaths of mothers or neonatal-mortality. The AP government has been paying a honorarium of Rs 3000 per month to these workers since August 2018, apart from monthly incentive. There are 46,000 ASHA workers in Andhra Pradesh. In his address Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu praised the state government and its measures for the upliftment of its people. He further attacked the ruling party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for ignoring ASHA workers and demonetisation, amongst other thing.
