The Collective @ USC is the University of South Carolina School of Music's flagship graduate chamber ensemble for contemporary music, community engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This arrangement of George Gershwin's "Three Preludes" was written for the quintet's Spring 2024 touring program "Postcards from Home," which featured arrangements of classical, folk, and commercial music by the ensemble members as well as a new work for this instrumentation by USC composer Ian Schwalbe that was made possible by the Whittaker Composition Commission.

This world premiere performance took place on March 20, 2024 at the University of South Carolina School of Music Recital Hall in Columbia, SC.
