President Rodrigo Roa Duterte welcomed Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan into his private residence in Davao City, as the Japanese Head of Government started his second day of official visit in the country.
Based on the Facebook photos posted by Special Assistant to the President Christopher ‘Bong’ Go, the President toured the Prime Minister in his simple abode, showing him his simple ways of comfort including his bed and favorite mosquito net. Prime Minister Abe and his spouse, Madame Akie Abe, were served with Filipino food such as biko, suman, and kutsinta.
Before the Japanese leader and his wife departed, President Duterte handed them some gifts.
The two leaders headed to Waterfront Insular Hotel for a series of activities.
