LARUS LARUS is a collection of blisteringly physical works for flute, voice, physically-modeled ensembles, bolts, and balloons about the thickness of atmosphere-in-ecstasy. What these works have in common is the physical impact of their potentiation. A closeness to holding the scale of the stars. The feelings endemic to delight at futurity. Each offers a precious eternity to submerge into—holding their sorcery of scale on our tongues, in our spines, and thick in the air.
Larus is a large genus of gulls. They steal food, are loud, and you can find them in all sorts of weather.
