This under 5 minute video shows the basics of installing a Color-based plotstyle file to your stock AutoCAD installation. This was done as part of a NHTI "AutoCAD 2D" course, so some content is specific to the institution, but once you have a ploystyle file "in hand," these steps will assist you with installing the file, so your plots come out the way the original CAD operator intended.
These steps are valid for all versions of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
