Deland Sport Aviation Showcase, Deland Municipal Airport, Deland Florida.
The DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase is just a month away.
In preparation for the Showcase the field is being prepped, booths striped, grass mowed. Tents, fencing, and signage are gettimg ready to go up. Soon the Showcase Field will be alive with the arrival of exhibitors, media, food vendors, volunteers, and dignitaries.
On November 1, 2, and 3 the skies above the DeLand Municipal Airport will be filled with color as over 100 recreational aircraft will fly non-stop demonstration flights while 100’s of skydivers will continue their daily routine out of Skydive DeLand.
Here are some of the highlights you will experience at the 2018 DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase at the DeLand Municipal Airport on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, November 1 through 3.
In addition to the EAA hands-on Workshops, over 100 aircraft and aviation-related exhibitors will display their wares on the Showcase Field. Demo flights take place all day, every day with over 1,000 operations each day at the debut event last year. Showcase Flights, held at 12n each day will give each aircraft their “time to shine” on the runway and in the air.
The Flying Musicians entertain daily in the Show Center Tent from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and again from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. One can camp Under the Wing right on the Showcase Field. And a variety of handpicked Food Vendors are sure to not disappoint.

The DeLand Showcase is an annual, three-day event focused entirely on recreational flying and sport aviation.The Showcase is held at the DeLand Municipal Airport (KDED) in the town of DeLand, known as "The Athens of Florida" for its rich, creative culture featuring arts venues, unique stores, international cuisine, night life and live entertainment. Plus, the weather in early November is perfect for a fun Florida weekend.
More than one hundred exhibitors will be featuring all kinds of sport aircraft, ultralights, trikes, rotorcraft, powered parachutes and paragliders, engines, avionics, pilot gear and flight schools.
Enjoy demo flights, instructional workshops by the Experimental Aircraft Association, educational forums, keynote speakers, food concessions, live music, underwing camping and more! Bring the whole family and buy a little plane!
The Showcase welcomes all aviation enthusiasts, of all ages—especially those just becoming interested in Affordable Flying for FUN!
