Wooo! GS buffs! Admittedly, Power Reaper isn't as strong as Condi (mostly due to condi being kinda OP), but after this last patch it's much stronger with the buffs to RS2 and Greatsword damage. You can get some good burst by getting a Hydro + Spiteful Spirit proc into Death's Charge, as well as corrupting a boon and applying chill, vuln, and blind. Nightfall changes make it much better against melee matchups, allowing you to trade more effectively inside it.

I've started using Spiteful Spirit (since after patch damage is not a problem) for more in-fight control, and it helps a lot vs Warriors, Revs, and Scrappers in combination with the Nightfall buff. More frequent weakness application keeps their damage low and helps take off Resistance, Protection, and Fury.
