Professor Taner Akcam of Clark University has written a series of articles entitled, “Textbooks of a New Turkey” in which he highlights the distortion of historical events, in particular the portrayal of Armenians as traitors who pose a serious threat to Turkey’s national security, in Turkish textbooks. Professor Akcam spoke to CivilNet via Skype about the outrage this latest Turkish offensive has caused among academics and intellectuals.
