Alicante on Spain's Costa Brava is the capital of the province of Alicante.
For visitors the main areas of interest are:

Playa Postiguet- The main city beach.

Barrio Santa Cruz- The old town with lots of good places to eat and drink.

Alicante Marina- A short stroll from Playa Postiguet.

We visited the first week of November when it was unseasonably
hot but the beaches were uncrowded and we didn't need restaurant reservations. In July and August, it is a very busy destination for visitors and locals.
