Panna cotta it is a super easy dessert, perfect for Valentine's day or when you want to prepare something easy and spectacular for your guests.
The preparing time is very short but unfortunately you have to wait around one or two hours for every layer to become well strengthened .
You can always change the fruit sauce by replacing strawberries with any other fruits that you like, also tilting the glass to a different angle will create a more special look. Use your imagination!
Just follow my ingredients and instructions list to make this easy panna cotta perfect for Valentine's day which is coming.
INGREDIENTS:
For vanilla panna cotta:
• 150ml milk
• 150ml whipping cream
• 40g sugar
• 5g gelatine + 1½ tbsp. cold water
• 1 tbsp vanilla extract
For chocolate panna cotta:
• 100ml milk
• 100ml whipping cream
• 20g sugar
• 5g gelatine + 1½ tbsp. cold water
• 50g dark chocolate
For strawberry jam:
• 300g strawberries
• 50g sugar
• 2 tbsp water
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. In a milk pan add together milk, whipping cream and sugar and bring to a simmer (do not boil). Remove from the heat and let it cool for 5 minutes.
2. Add gelatine over cold water mix for few seconds and let it swell for 5 minutes.
3. Add vanilla extract and gelatine over milk mixture and incorporate until gelatine is well dissolved.
4. Pour the liquid in glasses. Fill about half glass. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
5. Repeat the same process for chocolate liquid (different ratios - check ingredients) just add dark chocolate instead of vanilla extract.
6. Pour a layer over white panna cotta. Refrigerate for at least one hour.
7. Cut strawberries in small pieces.
8. Place them in a saucepan on low heat. Add water and sugar and let everything to boil for about 10 minutes or until it becomes thick.
9. Let strawberry jam to cool completely before pour in glasses over chocolate panna cotta.
10. Add strawberry jam in glasses over chocolate panna cotta. Decorate how you like and serve it.
