Finance Minister Colm Imbert is defending his Government's decision to impose a 25% increase in the price of Super gasoline, from $3.97 per litre to $4.97.
Minister Imbert had, at the time of the announcement, said the reduction in the fuel subsidy would save Government $700 million.
At a Press Briefing on Tuesday, he elaborated on the reasoning behind the price hike.
