Help us to ensure that tobacco control, particularly the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, is included in the United Nations' Review on non-communicable diseases. That will happen on 10-11 July 2014.

Through the FCTC: Action Now! campaign, FCA is working to generate strong commitments simultaneously in the international sphere and at the FCTC Conference of the Parties (COP) so that tobacco control becomes a reality in countries that are FCTC Parties.

Our work also includes promoting the FCTC within national health and development strategies, such as the UN Development Assistance Frameworks (UNDAFs).

So far in 2015, we have succeeded in securing strong reference to the FCTC within the post-2015 development agenda, which was finalised in September. We are also continuing to support the activity of the FCTC working group on sustainable measures and work with FCA members at country level to elevate tobacco control among national development priorities.
