Co-Producing Data and Tools for Climate Adaptation Planning:
An Introduction to the USGS Climate Adaptation Science Centers
Hosted by URISA's Climate and Community Resilience Committee, this webinar featured CASC data scientist, Sarah Burton, who spoke about their mission to help fish, wildlife, water, land, and people adapt to a climate change and how they collaborate at the state, regional and local levels. Sarah highlighted the climate adaptation data and tools developed through the CASC network while touching on pathways to get involved. She also discussed the role that GIS plays in her work and presented on use cases that leverage public resources to inform on climate resilience for state agencies and communicate climate science to the public.
