SSC Protest 18 Day: Students give 15 days ultimatum to the government to initiate CBI enquiry, threaten of massive nation-wide protest
New Delhi: A day after the visit of Congress President Rahul Gandhi to the SSC protest venue at CGO complex, the protesters have given 15-day ultimatum to the Union Government as well as Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to initiate CBI inquiry in the examination and called off their strike, however, some of the students are still protesting there.
On Friday, the protesters have issued a notice in which they have threaten to launch nation-wide protest on March 31, 2018, if the government did not initiate inquiry in this matter.
Since February 27, 2018, SSC aspirants have been protesting in front of SSC headquarter in Delhi to probe the recent examinations conducted by the SSC with CBI.
Adding fuel to the fire, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday met with the protestors and pitched for their demand and attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this situation. Moreover, also he also urged the students to launch a nation-wide protest against SSC scam and unemployment.
On Friday morning, the protest turned more intense as the members of Youth Congress joined the chorus.
Later, secretary of Home Ministry met with a delegation of SSC aspirants to chalk out the conclusion, however, it ended without any conclusion.
Besides Congress president Rahul Gandhi scores of public figures, politicians, and social activists backed their demands.
However, on March 7, 2018, Home Minister Rajnath Singh assured for CBI enquiry and urged SSC aspirants to call off their protest but protesters demanded written assurance but even after 10 days CBI only registered case in one examination.
