Volker Latussek designed this variant by sliding cubies by half a unit from each other. The pieces fit in a box of 3 x 3.5 x 4 cubie units. The puzzle has a unique solution. It turns out to be extremely hard to solve because of all the air. Even fitting only a few pieces together is already a challenge, let alone all seven of them.
