The girlfriend of Philando Castile, who live-streamed the aftermath of his death at the hands of a police officer, will get $675,000 from the city of Saint Anthony, Minnesota.
The Saint Anthony City council voted unanimously in favor of awarding Diamond Reynolds the money. She will also receive $125,000 from the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust on behalf of the city of Roseville. That's after Reynolds complained of distress from being detained by police officers after the shooting.
