Travel with us along the network of lines operated by the Jungfraubahnen, through the superb Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland, from the lakeside of Brienz to the highest railway station in Europe at Jungfraujoch.
We begin our tour of this scenic area with a visit to the holiday resort of Interlaken, before taking the BOB train to Lauterbrunnen. We make a diversion along the Schynige Platte rack railway to enjoy the superb panoramic views. On our arrival at Lauterbrunnen we change seasons and make a winter journey by funicular and mountain railway to Mürren, and then board the cablecars to the Schilthorn, famous as a location in the James Bond film "On her Majesty's Secret Service". We continue our journey with the BOB from Zweilütschinen to the glacier village of Grindelwald. At this popular resort we see some of the awesome ice masses at close quarters.
