Football was discovered after I accompanied law enforcement to check on a call of suspected dog fighting. There was no evidence of dog fighting aside from having 8 pit bulls chained up and unfortunately our laws at that time prevented us from doing anything more than provide recommendations on providing proper shelter. This particular dog touched my heart so that I could not leave him in such a terrible situation. We were told that Football had just been acquired more than likely for dog fighting... He was so sweet and gently. There was no way he was ever going to make it as a fighting dog.. I could not sleep that night worrying about him. The rest of the story..... Well---you can figure out the rest ;-)
