The human brain does generate electrical impulses as part of its normal functioning, which are used for signaling between neurons. However, the amount of electricity produced is extremely small. On average, the brain's electrical output is not enough to power a light bulb. While individual neurons can generate tiny electrical signals, they are not sufficient on their own to produce visible light. The idea that the brain could power a light bulb is more of a metaphorical concept rather than a literal one.
