This is an example of a custom tension test performed on a very large sample (~180mmx32 parallel gage region) for fracture model calibration, for use in Automotive Crash Finite Element Simulations. Note how a variable image capturing rate (fast-slow-fast) was used here to increase the density of images in the necking zone for better characterization of "fracture strains" ...
