This is the "special" video I had planned. I really had no complaints with the performance of the little Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 camera, other than its muddy audio. It shot good quality video even in relatively low light.

I thought about buying a new video camera and decided that a used one would be fine. This Sony DCR-TRV280 that I purchased from Youtube user vwestlife is working quite well and I'm very happy with it so far.

There are some minor kinks to work out. As uploaded, there are visible signs of interlacing in the video from the Sony camera. I'm not sure if asking iMovie '06 to import video from a noninterlaced source (the Lumix camera) and an interlaced one (the Sony camera) was asking too much. I'll figure it out.

There was also mention of a gift being included in the box...which turned out to be a CD featuring music by Westlife. I gave it a listen and it's not too bad.
