The Gate of the Exonerated, located on Central Park North, is the first Park entrance to be named since 1862. It is the product of an extensive dialogue among the Harlem community and a response to their desire for healing and belonging in the aftermath of the Central Park jogger case and its impact on Black and Latino New Yorkers. This #BlackHistoryMonth, hear from our #CentralParkConservancy staff member, Stormy, about her personal connection to the Gate and how it tells a broader story of a community coming together to support social justice in the Park.
