This is a review of the novel "Time Shelter" (translated into English by Angela Rodel, 2022) by the Bulgarian writer Georgi Gospodinov, winner of the 2023 International Man Booker Prize. The novel is a meditation on time, our contemporary world and the idea of Europe. Other writers mentioned: Marcel Proust, W. S. Merwin and Dubravka Ugresic.
