Kenyan elections have finally concluded in an #election that saw it all from:
    •    Fights breaking out in the tallying center
    •    Allegations of #corruption
    •    And a very close vote that took a week to count
 
The two candidates were:
    •    #RaidaOdinga - liberal candidate who ran on a platform for universal health care, food and clean water security, job development and women's right
    •    #WilliamRuto - center-right candidate who promised economic reform through a bottom-up approach and affordable housing
 
But despite #Ruto being from the same political alliance as the Former President #UhuruKenyatta, due to a falling out the two had, #Kenyatta's switched sides to support #Odinga
 
The election has significant importance because
    •    Not only is #Kenya has one of the largest economies in #Africa
    •    Has been one of the leading beacons of democracy on the continent
 
In the end, William #Ruto was declared the winner by a narrow margin, but appeals are expected from #Odinga's camp.
