Have you ever heard about Pokemon base stats? Do you know what the numbers displayed in a Pokemon's summary means? These are questions I hope to answer for you in this video. Whether you know some from before or nothing at all, I hope to show you the wonderful numbers and mechanics of the Pokemon games throughout the Pokemon Explained series.

All Pokemon have something called base stats and are numbers that can in no way be changed. These numbers are in a lot of ways what determines why a Magikarp is horribly weak, while Mega Mewtwo Y and Arceus are very strong Pokemon. There are a lot of ways for the Pokemon's base stats to show in their actual performance and that is some of what you will come to learn about in this Pokemon Explained video!
