The Gospel of Luke Chapter 10 has a well known story of two sisters, Martha and Mary who host Jesus in their home. I explain the hidden truth about this Bible passage which ends the chapter. Luke 10 begins with Jesus sending out 70 disciples to preach the good news. The Middle of the chapter is the parable of the good Samaritan in which there is the obvious meaning that we should be helpful to other people, but also the hidden meaning that we need a savior and Jesus Christ is the Savior and He is the good Samaritan in the story that forgives sins, is coming again and He is the way to eternal life. Lastly the chapter ends with Jesus visiting the home where two sisters, Martha and Mary, interact with Jesus in two distinctly different ways. This too has a hidden message about discipleship and fulfilling the Great Commission.
