Ales stones - The Swedish Stonehenge - Crazy Whales Road Trip Day 4! Ale's Stones are an ancient monument of the type ”stone ship” that is located at the village Kåseberga in Valleberga parish in Österlen Ystad in Skåne's south coast.
Our first thought when we heard that we were going there was "we'll visit The Swedish Stonehenge, Yeah!!!
We went to the stone ship that consists of 59 quartz sand stones, each weighing about 5 tons, with great anticipation because we thought they would be huge but they were as you see in the movie not very big but it is actually Swedens largest kept ship setting. The entire stone ship is about 67 meters long and 19 meters wide, and we were there at sunset so it made it a whole lot better!
