On Tuesday 13th Nov King Aethelred the Unready ordered the massacre of 1000’s of Danes living in England in what would become known as The St Brice’s Day Massacre. Here Paul Curtis from The Coventrian takes us around some of the areas of Coventry including Allesley and Keresley and Biggin Hill In Stoke and what the subsequent results of the massacre meant for the nuns of St Osburg’s in Coventry and monks at Stoneleigh Abbey and Coombe Abbey Coventry
