German Air Force A400M Atlas aircraft at Wunstorf Air Base in northern Germany have been flying across European airspace to provide air-to-air refuelling to tornado fighter jets during exercise Air Defender 23. It’s the largest deployment exercise of air forces in NATO's history. They have also trained with the United States Air Force and the Romanian Air Force.
