(18 Feb 2020) Serbian citizens who arrived in Belgrade after a two week quarantine in France met with the Serbian Foreign Minister on Tuesday.
The three Serbian citizens were greeted by Ivica Dacic ahead of a news conference where they spoke about their time in the Chinese city of Wuhan, which is at the centre of the outbreak of the deadly new virus.
Four Serbian citizens were evacuated from Wuhan on a French plane after the outbreak of the new strain of coronavirus in the city, and had to remain in quarantine in France for two weeks before returning to Belgrade.
One of the evacuees, Dusan Djelic, described Wuhan as a "ghost town", and another, Aleksandar Kalaba, said he hoped China would "succeed in dealing with this misfortune."
Evacuee Stefan Vojinic said despite his experience with evacuation and quarantine, he is "planning to return to China to study, to continue with the next semester."
